Hey witches, My name is Vanessa Rivard. I’m a Rhode Island Native and the owner of The Wax Altar Esthetics. My Journey into skincare began when I got my first Medical Assistant job in Dermatology. This was where my passion blossomed.

I’ve always been drawn to helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Esthetics allows me to combine my passion for skincare and self-care with my love of creating a relaxing, personalized experience for my clients. What I love most about my suite is that it’s a calm, private space where my clients can relax, vent and unwind. I’ve designed it to feel welcoming and comfortable, like a little escape from the chaos of daily life. It’s truly my own sacred space where I can perform my services and create a personalized, magical experience for each client.

My favorite part of my job is helping my clients feel confident and cared for. Whether it’s giving them glowing skin after a facial, or smooth skin from waxing, I love seeing the boost of confidence when they leave my space. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I’ve made someone’s day better and helped them feel their best. Seeing someone leave my space feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for is the most rewarding part of my work. It reminds me why I chose this career to create an experience where my clients can feel truly seen, relaxed, and at their best. Whether it’s through glowing skin, or a moment of calm, knowing I’ve made a positive impact makes every service meaningful.
